Screamin’ Sasquatch Jet Waco

For more than a century, air shows featuring daring feats by military and civilian aircrafts have dazzled crowds, brought families together and rallied support for those who serve our country. This year, 12 air shows and more than 1 million air show fans will have the rare chance to see the one-of-a-kind Screamin’ Sasquatch Jet Waco perform maneuvers no other aircraft can, on all-American holiday weekends commemorating Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and more.

The Screamin’ Sasquatch Jet Waco will be the marquee, must-see performance at select air shows in 2014, as the airplane features the Barnstormers-era 1929 Taperwing Waco body, modified in a way that would have shocked its original pilots. In addition to the Taperwing’s large radial engine, the Screamin’ Sasquatch Jet Waco carries a jet engine, which triples the amount of available power. With total thrust exceeding the weight of the airplane, it is uniquely capable of intensely powerful aerobatic flight like no other plane, such as extreme vertical climbs, flat-spins, snap rolls, torque rolls and even a “hover,” which the Screamin’ Sasquatch Jet Waco can then power itself out of to regain forward flight.

Jack Link’s has partnered with John Klatt Airshows to bring the Screamin’ Sasquatch Jet Waco to life. John Klatt Airshows, Inc. President John Klatt, a retired lieutenant colonel in the Air National Guard, will pilot the Screamin’ Sasquatch Jet Waco.

Jack Link’s will be highly visible as part of this partnership. From the classic barnstorming design on the Screamin’ Sasquatch Jet Waco, to product sampling with the Jack Link’s Wild Side Truck and appearances by brand icon Sasquatch, spectators will be able to immerse themselves in the untamed spirit of the brand. The partnership also provides another opportunity for the brand to demonstrate its strong heritage of supporting the U.S. military. As a top armed service food supplier, Jack Link’s has been supporting the U.S. military since the organization’s foundation.
