Alternate Parking Plan

The 2019 Air Show has implemented our alternate parking plan. All parking will be on paved lots for the 2019 show.

Heavy rains have made the field parking normally used by the air show for spectator parking unusable. The show in cooperation with the Dayton International Airport and police agencies has developed an Alternate Parking plan for Saturday and Sunday’s show that will place all spectator vehicles on paved lots.

The former Emery/UPS Freight Facility located on Old Springfield Road north of the airport will be used as the Alternate Parking site. All spectator parking including General Admission, P-Lot and VIP will be directed to the Alternate Parking site.

60 large shuttle buses have been retained to conveniently shuttle spectators to and from the show grounds on an Express route inside the airport perimeter.

BEST AND QUICKEST ROUTE

The quickest way to get to the Alternate Parking Site is to use Exit 32 (Airport Access Road) off I-70. Simply follow the digital signs that will direct guests west on W National Road, north on Dog Leg Road and east on Old Springfield Rd.

Guests can also us Exit 64 (Northwoods Boulevard) off I-75 and follow signs but this will be a slower route due to Dixie Highway narrowing to a single-lane which backs up traffic similar to a lane closure on a major highway.

Access will also be much quicker for spectators that come early or prior to 10:00 am.

ARRIVE EARLY TO AVOID HEAVY TRAFFIC
